Abstract | Municipal and industrial water supply needs, future water supply storage requirements, and streamflow regulation for water quality control are determined for the Birch River Basin, Elk River from Sutton Dam to its mouth at Charleston, and the Kanawha River from Kanawha Falls to its confluence with the Ohio River. Project needs and benefits were evaluated on a 60-year basis from 1960 to 2020, based on projected population and industrial growth. |
