Abstract | In this work, we studied the behavior of the biologically active metals (Al, Cu, Cr, and Be) during the percolation of very acid coal leachates through soil from Maryland's Eastern Shore. In batch experiments, this soil was exposed to a standard, synthetic leachate, the composition of which mimics natural acid coal leachate. |
