Abstract | This decision document presents the selected remedial action for the Tronic Plating Site (Site) located in the Town of Babylon, Suffolk County, New York. The United State Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), in consultation with the State of New York has determined that the Site does not pose a significant threat to human health and the environment and, therefore, remediation is not necessary nor appropriate. This determination is based on the results of the Phase I and Phase II remedial investigations conducted at the Site from 1989 to 1992, the risk assessment performed for the Site and the sediment and soil removal activities performed pursuant to an Administrative Order on Consent that were completed on August 13, 1993. |
