Abstract |
Existing data on the natural and anthropogenic sources of arsenic emissions are compiled and presented in a fully annotated tabular format. Arsenic distribution in the environment is graphically displayed in terms of air, land, and water emissions. Fossil fuel consumption for energy production, arsenic production and commercial use, and primary copper smelting are identified as the three major sources of environmental emissions. Data gaps are identified and recommendations for further study outlined. |
