Abstract | The kentucky Avenue Well Field, part of the Elmira Water Board (EWB) public water supply system, covers approximately 12 square miles in the south central part of Chemung County, New York. The Kentucky Avenue Well Field, part of the EWB network of wells and reservoirs serving area residents, was closed in September 1980 following the discovery of elevated levels of TCE. The primary contaminants of concern include: TCE, VOCs, and chlorinated solvents. |
