Abstract |
An assessment was made of the technical and economic feasibility of using wetland systems for municipal wastewater treatment facilities. All of the wetlands reviewed for this assessment were either fresh or brackish systems used to treat domestic wastewater to various degrees. A wastewater wetland may also provide secondary benefits such as wildlife habitats and recreational and educational opportunities. |
