Abstract |
Seismic reflection and refraction surveys of sediment deposits were made at two sites on the Virginia coastal plain during August 1970. Site 1 was approximately 5 miles NNE of Franklin, Virginia, and site 2 was approximately 3 miles north of Boykins, Va. These seismic measurements were made in an effort to evaluate the effectiveness of modern explosion seismic methods in determining the thickness of the unconsolidated coastal plain sediments and stratigraphic subdivisions within this sedimentary section.
