Abstract |
All tested phenols are easily oxidized by ozone, as the result of which the organoleptic properties of water contaminated by these substances are significantly improved. The products of advanced oxidation of phenols by ozone are practically nontoxic and noncumulative. The ozonization method can be recommended for wide use to purify drinking water and sewage contaminated by phenols. |
