Abstract | The guides provide information on health and safety and are to complement professional judgment and experience, and to supplement existing Regional Office safety procedures. The document provides guidance for ensuring health and safety of site personnel who work with hazardous substances or who work at uncontrolled hazardous waste sites. The guidance is intended for federal, state, and local managers and personnel at sites where hazardous materials are present. The SOSG is intended to provide a comprehensive overview of the information needed by employers to meet their responsibility to assure the health and safety of employees engaged in operations at hazardous waste sites. |
