Abstract | The report presents the results of a study conducted to identify opportunities for waste reduction available to the printed circuit board manufacturing industry. A generic audit protocol, which can be used by manufacturers to assess their own waste reduction opportunities, and summaries of three facility audits are included. The study emphasized technologies available to small- and medium-sized PC board facilities and covers source reduction, recycling and resource recovery, treatment alternatives, and associated economics. |
