Abstract | This document is an economic impact assessment of the effluent guidelines recently promulgated for the pharmaceutical industry, as well as guidelines proposed for new direct dischargers. The report is being distributed to EPA Regional Offices and state pollution control agencies and directed to the staff responsible for writing industrial discharge permits. The report includes detailed information on the costs and economic impacts of various treatment technologies. It should be helpful to the permit writer in evaluating the economic impacts on an industrial facility that must comply with BAT limitations or water quality standards. |
