Abstract |
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) conducted the 2000 Community Water System (CWS) Survey to obtain data to support its development and evaluation of drinking water regulations. EPA developed the survey database to provide critical data to support regulatory development and implementation. The Agency plans to use the data for regulatory, policy, implementation, and compliance analyses. EPA must satisfy the requirements of various statutes and regulations for analyses of proposed regulations under the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA). The survey provides data on water system operations and finances that are critical to the preparation of these analyses. |
