Abstract |
A medical review of an incident within one of our plants involving exposure to methyl mercaptan (C.A.S. No.74-93-1), dimethyl disulfide (C.A.S. No. 624-92-0), and acetonitrile (C.A.S. No. 75-05-8) is being reported for informational purposes even though we believe the human health effects that occurred from this accidental exposure incident can be adequately explained by the well-known toxicity of methyl mercaptan. Of particular concern to us was the apparent lack of sufficient odor or irritation to serve as an adequate warning to our workers. |
