Abstract |
This report discusses the effect of gasohol (10% ethanol and 90% gasoline) on 212 vehicles from the Portland and Vancouver area. The vehicles tested were 1976 and 1978 model years representing an emission technology which would comprise the majority of vehicles tested in most Inspection and Maintenance (I/M) programs. The vehicles were tested on the Four-Mode Idle Test with gasohol and unleaded gasoline. The results indicate that gasohol does not appear to be a significant problem for Inspection and Maintenance programs. |
