This report contains the proceedings of the Conference on Conservation of Historic Stone Buildings and Monuments, held in Washington, D.C., February 2-4, 1981. Included in the report are papers presented by scientists, preservation architects, engineers, and architectural historians interested in the problems of historic masonry structures. The committee's report contains its conclusions and recommendations based on information presented at the conference and the expertise of five discussion groups, and by consideration of general concerns that emerged in their deliberations. |
