Abstract | The traditional water-requirements approach to water resource basin planning is explicitly integrated into an activity analysis type of planning model. The model is structured to include sequential interdependencies of surface water utilization, and conjunctive use of ground and surface waters. In addition, both water quality and quantity restrictions are introduced into the model simultaneously. Emphasis is given to the potential for intrabasin water transfer between competitive users, locations, and points in time. (Author) |
