Abstract |
The Great Lakes are without a doubt very influential in determining local meteorological situations within many miles of their shorelines. The influence of Lake Michigan has been shown both during the winter, in relation to the snow belt, and in the summer affecting thunderstorms. Air pollution is becoming an increasingly important problem, and the effects of Lake Michigan upon pollutants have been pointed out in the report. |
