Abstract |
The report details the work engineers did in the application of electronic sequential fuel injection to the optimum engine for methanol utilization. The program was based on a production 1.5 litre Volkswagen gasoline engine, the combustion system of which was converted to HRCC (high ration compact chamber) with a compression ratio of 13.1. The engine had been developed to run on methanol fuel using a carburetor and mechanically controlled ignition and ERG system prior to the program. |
