Abstract | The objective of the Pilot Study was to develop and enhance air quality management and dealt with the three elements most common to all national programs. They were (1) the development of air pollution assessment methodology through studies of individual cities within member countries, (2) development of air pollution criteria on the effects of major air pollutants, and (3) technical review and publication of state-of-the-art information on control technology for major pollutants. Development of low pollution power systems was undertaken during the course of the study. The report briefly discusses recommendations of the working group. |
