Abstract | Even though a few of the pesticides currently used for mosquito control are comparatively toxic, the authors research has indicated that workers are generally exposed to relatively small fractions of a toxic dose each day. These findings are consistent with the idea that pesticides can be used safely, provided recommended precautions are followed. However, excess exposure due to accident or lapses in adherence to safety precautions might be sufficient to allow poisoning to occur. |
