This research project was designed to confirm and extend to a more homogeneous group the observations of Scott and Burkart (9) in their study of chromosome aberrations in the peripheral lymphocytes of students attending the University of Southern California. The primary objective of this study was to compare whether the incidence of chromosome aberrations in peripheral lymphocytes of young adults emigrating from and immigrating to an area of low levels differed significantly from students indigenous to the respective area.
