Abstract |
This report evaluates the potential usefulness and practicality of various planning methodologies which can be used to quantitatively determine the relationship between land use and water quality. It also evaluates various land use and land management controls which can be used to reduce pollutant loadings. In carrying out these evaluations, the report reviews much of the current literature on the relationship between land use and water quality. While the report examines various land uses, it is intended to focus on land uses commonly found in developed and developing areas. It is also intended to focus on stormwater related pollution sources in such areas. |
