Abstract |
This two-volume report assesses the current status of using mined-space for long-term retention of nonradioactive hazardous waste. Volume 1 updates previous studies conducted in 1974 and 1975 and examines published literature, determines involvement of government agencies, reviews regulatory and permitting requirements, and identifies existing mines for a potential demonstration project. |
