Abstract |
Williams Air Force Base (AFB) is located in Maricopa County, Mesa, Arizona. The Fire Protection Training Area No. 2 (FT-02) and the Southwest Drainage System (SD-09) make up Operable Unit (OU)-3. Benzene, chloroform, and 1,4-dichlorobenzene are present in FT-02 soils at concentrations above cleanup levels. The organic contaminants represent a potential future threat to groundwater at the site due to their concentration and distribution within the soil. |
