Abstract | Contact sulfuric acid plants emit sulfur dioxide, sulfuric acid mist and small amounts of sulfur trioxide. Depending upon the sulfur bearing feed stock and plant operating conditions, they may also emit nitrogen oxides. In the chamber process, nitrogen oxides in addition to sulfur oxides and acid mist, are regularly emitted. |
