Abstract | This report provides the reader with an overview of current oil shale research and development (R and D) efforts being performed by EPA, or being funded by EPA monies passed-through to other Federal agencies under the Interagency Energy/Environment R and D Program. Chapter 1 introduces the reader to the purpose, background, and rationale behind EPA's efforts; Chapter 2 discusses the EPA program goals and fiscal year 1977 program funding; and, Chapter 3 presents the scope-of-work for 55 ongoing projects. A table at the end of Chapter 3 summarizes these projects by presenting project title, sponsoring agency, performing organization, and project duration. |
