Abstract | The preliminary data profile is one of a series of profiles dealing with chemical pollutants potentially of concern in municipal sewage sludges. Nickel (Ni) was initially identified as being of potential concern when sludge is landspread (including distribution and marketing), placed in a landfill, or incinerated. The profile is a compilation of information that may be useful in determining whether nickel poses an actual hazard to human health or the environment when sludge is disposed of by these methods. |
