Abstract |
Pancreatic-type tissue in lives of Sherman strain rats is described. This lesion has not been reported previously. The pancreatic-type tissue was observed in livers of rats fed polychlorinated biphenyls (Aroclor 1254) for 6 months. The cells of the tissue had the same staining characteristics as salivary gland epithelium. The lesion was present in 15 of 36 livers examined. |
