Abstract |
This report provides information on the soluble sulfide precipitation process (Na2S) used at a copper/lead smelter for treatment of wastewater. The study presents the results of a sampling study which aimed to define the process kinetics of a full scale plant. The generation of H2S gas, metals removal, and sludge handling are discussed. Excellent removal of most metals, including arsenic was shown. Process control problems presented 99%+ removal of all metals however. |
