Abstract |
Acid rain is a serious environmental problem that affects large parts of the United States and Canada. Acid rain is particularly damaging to lakes, streams, and forests and the plants and animals that live in these ecosystems. For students in grades 4-8 and their teachers - this expanded sourcebook covers the basic concepts and definitions involved with acid rain. Topics include the effects of acid rain on forests, water and humans, and explores the options of what can be done to diminish these negative effects of acid rain. |
