Abstract |
The manual provides public water systems and drinking water agencies with guidance for complying with the enhanced coagulation and enhanced precipitative softening treatment technique contained in the Stage 1 Disinfectants and Disinfection Byproducts Rue (DBPR). This process seeks to remove natural organic matter (NOM) from drinking water, which is a major factor in the formation of disinfection byproducts (DBPs). Appendices include: DBP Precursor Removal Processes and Other DBP Precursor Removal Technologies. |
