Abstract | This report presents the results of an emission laboratory correlation study involving EPA and the Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Association of the United States, Inc. (MVMA). It specifically compares test equipment characteristics and vehicle emission measurements at the test facilities of EPA, American Motors Corporation, Chrysler Corporation, Ford Motor Company, General Motors Corporation, and International Harvester Company. Factors which may affect emission measurement correlation, including dynamometers, constant volume samplers, gas analysis systems, and ambient conditions, are presented. |
