Abstract |
Ten catalyst from eight vehicles representing four vehicle manufacturers were examined using several physical and chemical procedures for poison accumulation, overheating, plugging, thermal deterioration, and noble metal loss. The analysis of each converter consisted of visual inspection, whole converter radiographs BET surface area, elemental analysis, and scanning electron microscope examination of surface. Correlations between the 'on-vehicle' emissions and the analytical results were conducted. |
