Abstract |
This Environmental Impact Statement was prepared by EPA to explain the background of the proposed action and the rationale that was used in developing the regulations. It discusses in detail the anticipated benefits that will result from implementation of the regulations and compares them with the adverse impacts that cannot be avoided. The proposed action prescribes a new set of regulations which sets minimal standards for State programs to prevent underground injection which endangers underground sources of public-water supplies. |
