Abstract |
This guide is designed for community water systems (CWSs) serving 3,300 or fewer persons. CWSs include all publicly and privately owned systems providing drinking water to at least 25 year-round residential customers or 15 year-round service connections. This guide may be useful for: small town systems; homeowners' associations; rural water districts; small private systems; tribal systems; public service districts (PSDs); and manufactured home communities. This guide presents basic information and steps you can take to improve security and emergency preparedness at your water system. It explains why security improvements are important and discusses Vulnerability Assessments (VAs) and Emergency Response Plans (ERPs)--tools that you can use to improve security at your system. |
