Abstract | This research project was designed to assist EPA Region 9 (R9) and EPA ORD in identifying and acquiring information, tools, and collaborative community-based processes to help address the concerns and goals expressed by certain California communities overburdened with the cumulative impacts of exposures to multiple air pollutants. The EPA R9 Regional Science Plan describes the need for better methodologies to help EPA evaluate risks and impacts in overburdened communities. This project also responds to requests from a number of California communities wanting to address their concerns with respect to the impact of community cumulative impact effects on local, regional, and statewide regulatory decision-making. |
