Abstract |
Under the USA-USSR Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Environmental Protection, a joint project committee on environmental transport of agricultural chemicals (pesticides and fertilizers) sponsored a symposium on 20-27 October 1976 in Tbilisi, USSR. Papers were presented by American and Soviet scientists on the movement and transformations of pesticides in the atmosphere, in soils, in water, in plants, and in animals, and on the use of mathematical modeling to describe the transport and transformation of pesticides in the environment. Twenty-six papers encompassed reviews of the state of the art in each country and results of research on particular aspects of the topics. |
