Abstract | The 1989 NAPAP report is submitted in accordance with the Acid Precipitation Act of 1980 (Title VII, P.L. 96-294.) The Annual Report describes the Program's research and assessment accomplishments during 1989. A special section, entitled 'Findings Update', summarizes recent developments in the state of scientific knowledge of the causes and effects of acidic deposition, and provides information on the status and capabilities of various acid deposition control technologies. NAPAP is developing a comprehensive Integrated Assessment of the causes and effects of acid deposition, combined with comprehensive analyses of the cost and effectiveness of various emission reduction strategies. |
