Abstract |
The purpose of the study was to present a tool useful to water utilities that not only could analyze historical distribution system reliability data, but also provide a flexible and expandable mechanism for record-keeping enabling overall management of water work's facilities and resources. The objectives of the research were to: (1) assess the resources necessary to utilize microcomputers in the application; (2) compare and contrast results with those of a previous study that only analyzed large transmission mains; and (3) evaluate the relevance of only analyzing a sample of a large utility compared to the time and cost necessary to study the entire network. |
