Abstract | The Clean Air Act, as amended, authorizes a national program of air pollution research, regulation, and enforcement activities. This program is directed at the Federal level by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Section 313 of the Clean Air Act requires the Administrator to report yearly on measures taken toward implementing the purpose and intent of the Act. This report covers the period January 1 to December 31, 1975, and describes the issues involved in the prevention and control of air pollution and the major elements of progress toward that goal that have been made by EPA since the last report. |
