Abstract | The Environmental Health Committee (EHC) of the EPA Science Advisory Board (SAB) was asked to review a strategy document, developed by the Agency's Office of Research and Development (ORD), for conducting research on the health risks of exposure to complex chemical mixtures. Such mixtures are not only pervasive in the environment, but also represent the dominant mode of chemical exposure for the U.S. population. The Committee met on March 1, 1991 in Dallas, Texas to receive briefings from Agency officials and discuss the issues. The Committee found that a basis for a major expansion of current efforts is not cogently presented in the document. |
