Abstract |
This report reviews and summarizes (1) direct and cumulative impacts that may result from implementation of a wastewater treatment project facilities plan; (2) the available literature concerning methodologies that have been developed to evaluate wetland ecosystem baseline conditions; and (3) methodologies that assess impacts of various human activities on wetlands. Ultimately, this information will be used by USEPA to develop an objective impact screening methodology for use during the facilities planning process. Identification of potentially adverse impacts (red flags) would allow determination of issues that would lead to the requirement of more detailed, site-specific studies. |
