Abstract |
A study was conducted to determine upper salinity tolerance of juvenile Atherinops affinis. The range of salinity tolerance demonstrated by young A. affinis that reside in estuarine and near-shore waters along the Pacific coast suggests that this species may be useful in conducting toxicological research with freshwater effluents entering marine habitats; or in areas that could be subjected to chemical exposure such as pesticide applications in hypersaline habitats. |
