Abstract
This decision document presents the selected remedial action for the Popile, Inc. site in El Dorado, Arkansas. Both EPA and ADPC&E are in favor of a remedy that could provide a permanent solution to the hazardous substances, pollutants and contaminants at the Popile, Inc. site. After consultations, ADPC&E and EPA concluded that although incineration (Alternative 5) could most effectively destroy the hazardous substances, pollutants and contaminants at the Popile site, other remedial alternatives, in conjunction with ground water extraction and treatment (Alternative C), could provide a protective remedy.
