The Ohio General Assembly has shown growing concern in recent years over the problem of solid waste disposal as it relates to combating pollution and protecting the natural environment. At a 1970 meeting the Legislative Service Commission expressed concern over costs and duplication in disposal practices. This report covers the problems created by individual community waste disposal and treatment systems in areas which could be served by a regional system and the question of whether additional legislation is needed to promote the etablishment of regional systems should they be found feasible. |
