Abstract |
The electrical energy used in manufacturing ozone constitutes a major part of the operating cost of disinfection. The paper presents a control strategy that combines use of off-gas measurement and contact time to achieve reliable disinfection throughout the day with minimum energy use regardless of demand and flow fluctuations.
