Abstract |
The objectives of this work are to utilize biochemical markers for biomass, metabolic activity, and community structure of the surface microbiota to define: (1) the effect of amphipod grazing, (2) the differences in the effects of grazing in the field and laboratory, and (3) to compare the grazing of Melita appendiculata (Say) to Gammarus mucronatus (Say), two sympatric amphipods with different mouth parts. |
