Abstract |
One of the advanced wastewater treatment processes being considered is the introduction of high purity, molecular oxygen into the aeration system of an activated sludge treatment plant. Introduction of oxygen or ozone is expected to accelerate deterioration of materials used in plant construction. The purpose of this study is to evaluate a wide range of candidate construction materials so that costly shutdowns and expensive maintenance programs can be minimized in plants using an oxygen or ozone process. |
