Abstract |
Techniques and procedures have been developed for maintaining the stability and maximizing the sensitivity of the Finnigan 1015-System 150 Gas Chromatograph/Mass Spectrometer/Computer (GC/MS/Computer) System. Causes of instability include poor vacuum tube performance and high temperature in the electronics chassis. Sensitivity is maximized by appropriate maintainance and adjustment techniques. Methods have been developed for increasing the utility of the data collected by the GC/MS/Computer system. These include techniques for acquiring better data and for extracting the most information from the data that have been acquired. This report was submitted in partial fulfillment of ROAP 16ADN Task 27 at the Environmental Research Laboratory, Athens, Georgia. Work was completed as of April 1974. |
