Abstract | The Region 8 Administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency intends to provide federal matching funds for regional waste-water treatment in the combined Aspen and Snowmass Resort study areas within Colorado, through the authority of the Water Pollution Control Act (as amended, 1972). The purpose of this draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS), required of federal agencies by the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA, 1969) is to notify governmental agencies and the public at large of this impending project with potential environmental ramifications. |
